Producer & Director
Charlie was a professional actress for over twenty years before moving into teaching and directing at vocational drama schools. Her most recent full time position was as Head of Acting on the Musical Theatre Course at Arts Ed, a post she held for six years before moving on to expand her freelance career whilst studying for a Master’s degree in Text and Performance at Birkbeck University. During her teaching Charlie directed Anything Goes for the final year Musical Theatre students at Arts Ed, as well as co-directed the yearly student showcase at the Criterion Theatre. She has also directed many student projects; from Sondheim’s Assassins, Merrily We Roll Along and Company to Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors and Noel Coward’s Present Laughter and Hay Fever., Fiddler on the Roof and contemporary plays and projects. Charlie has taught and directed at Mountview, ALRA Central School of Speech & Drama and the London College of Music.
Charlie was director and dramaturg for ‘The Martini Encounter’s’ Who Shot Wayne Sleep, a darkly funny musical cabaret for the Vault Festival in London, and directed a staged reading of Carmen Nasrs's play 'The Climbers' at the Finborough for the their Vibrant Festival.
Tokens of Affection is Charlie's first professional directing project with her newly formed company Persever Productions.
Elizabeth enjoys all aspects of making theatre, but is primarily focused on text analysis and bringing text to life on stage. This interest led her to obtain an MA in Text & Performance at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck University in 2017. She works as a playwright, dramartug and assistant director for various theatre companies in and around London (including Flashpoint Collective – London, since 2017 and The Weaver Productions – York UK, since 2014). Elizabeth has recently become the founder and artistic director of her own company, Vulpine, which had its first show in December 2018 in London. Elizabeth is very excited to be a part of Preserver Productions and its first show, Tokens of Affection.
Set, Costume & Lighting Designer
Hugo Aguirre is an English/French/Spanish designer and theatre maker. After recently graduating from Queen Mary, University of London, Hugo has worked with companies such as the Arcola Queer Collective on Corpus Christi, The Wardrobe Ensemble on Safari at The North Wall in Oxford, Battered Soul Theatre on Debris at Theatre N16 and Punchdrunk Enrichment. Recent assistant designer credits include: The Human Voice (Gate Theatre), Sugar (as part of Mapping Brent, Kiln Theatre) and Crazy Gary's Mobile Disco (Landor Space).
Hugo has also co-created and designed Asking For A Raise (The Space Theatre), The Woman Who Gave Birth To A Goat (Camden People's Theatre) and WAGGO (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017).
Pip is from Cheshire and graduated from Newcastle University. As well as stage management and technical, she is also involved with set and costume design.
Stage Management credits include: Dick Whittington (The Grange Theatre), The Haunted Man (Rural Tour), Birth Right(Calder Theatre), Help! Get Me Out of This Musical! (Wilde Theatre), Menopause the Musical (UK Tour), and The Wizard of Oz (The Grange Theatre).
Design credits include: The Haunted Hollows (Warwick Castle), Dolls House (Warwick Castle), Outbreak 1349 (Warwick Castle), and The Joy Show: A Revolution Against Sadness(Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre).
Grace recently graduated from the London College of Music with a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre. Whilst training, Grace performed the role of Golde in Fiddler on the Roof. Her other credits include Spring Awakening, and Betty Blue Eyes, performed at the Old Rep Theatre.
The role of Kelly will be played by
Eliza trained in Acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and graduated in 2017.
Whilst training, Eliza's credits include Taylor in 'Vernon Godlittle', Meridith in 'Five Women Wearing The Same Dress' and Maria in 'Napoli Milinaria'.
Since graduating, Eliza's credits include BBC's 'People Just Do Nothing' and 'Strands' (The Arcola Theatre). She is currently Assistant Directing 'Class' by Ben Bailey and Lajaune Lincoln as part of 2019's National Theatre Connections project. Eliza is very grateful to be apart of 'Tokens of Affections' off West End, London Debut.
The role of Andrea will be played by
Didi is a Swedish born actress. She moved to London to do a Master in Acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and graduated in July 2018. Her recent credits include: Love and Information at The Pleasance Theatre and Motherhood or Madness at Katzpace Studio Theatre. Motherhood or Madness was a play that came alive during Didi’s year at Mountview as a result of her final creative project. A one-woman show written and performed by herself, which explores gender, identity and motherhood.
Didi is currently rehearsing for the role of Andrea in the London premier of 'Tokens of Affection' at Waterloo East Theatre, 5th - 24th February 2019.
The role of Liane will be played by
Elise recently graduated from the London College of Music in July 2018 with a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre.
Credits whilst training include Little Sally in ‘Urinetown: The Musical’ (London College of Music), Bielke in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ (London College of Music) and Wendla in ‘Spring Awakening’ (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017).
Since graduating, Elise has played Glinda in an interactive production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ at Mill Hill Library to help engage children with reading and recently enjoyed bringing the magic of Christmas to life as Wish at Lapland UK. ‘Tokens of Affection’ marks Elise’s professional Off West End debut. She is excited and grateful to have been given this opportunity.
The role of Annette will be played by
'Tokens of Affection' marks Jennifer's return to acting after an extensive absence.
During her time away she has raised two children, been a voice over artist, an award winning audiobook narrator, worked with ex-offenders and gained her Bachelor of Honours degree and then her Masters.
Since then, she has been teaching at universities, musical theatre schools and conservetoires while also coaching dialect and voice both privately and in mainstream theatre; her latest production being 'The Inheritance', (Young Vic/Noel Coward).
